ANTHONY WOODS ISSUES STATEMENT ON THE LOSS OF SENATOR EDWARD KENNEDY

Congressional Candidiate Hails Kennedy as "one of America's most productive and effective advocates for the voiceless"

Fairfield, CA: In response to last night’s passing of Senator Edward M. Kennedy, CA 10 Congressional Candidate Anthony Woods issued the following statement:

“Today we are saddened by the loss of one of America’s most dedicated public servants and one of our most productive and effective advocates for the voiceless. For nearly half a century, Senator Edward Kennedy has led the cause of Civil Rights, protecting our environment, strengthening our schools, and improving access to quality healthcare.

As we keep the Kennedy family in our thoughts and prayers, we must also honor Senator Kennedy’s life and legacy, by rededicating ourselves to his timeless call to action ---‘the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die.’”
