Iraq War Veteran and Democratic Congressional Candidate Will Conduct a Series of Town Halls Across 10th District in Advance of September 1st Special Election
Fairfield: Iraq War Veteran and Democratic Congressional Candidate Anthony Woods has announced that he will host a series of town hall meetings across California’s 10th Congressional District in advance of the September 1st Special Election to replace former Rep. Ellen Tauscher.
“From two wars overseas, to the economy, healthcare and education, there are huge issues at stake in this election,” said Woods. “Like families across the 10th District, I’ve lived these challenges first hand, and am looking forward talking with voters and sharing my vision for moving our district and our country forward.”
The first such event will take place this Thursday in Woods’ hometown of Fairfield. Light refreshments will be served.
The Fairfield town hall will be followed by upcoming forums in Livermore, Walnut Creek, Concord, andin Dixon. More forums may be added, time and schedule permitting.

Anthony Woods is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He is a veteran of two combat tours in Iraq, and was awarded both the Bronze Star and Army Commendation Medal for his service. Woods is a native of Fairfield, CA, and is campaigning for the expected Special Election to replace Representative Ellen Tauscher (nominated to serve in the Obama Administration) in California’s 10th District.
